Creating a new Blog Newsletter Named Slipspace. 

I have been having a blast on Substack creating weekly content initially for myself just to share links on what is going on in the world of gaming and remeber interesting things. surprised people like reading.

I was thinking about intead have a blog and podcast / YT separate from that by focusing more on a sub niche of Game Development.

I was going to use Ghost but I rather not manage the tech aspects even though I believe I can and rather share insights into my Game Dev Journey. So decided to give Beehiiv a try.

Topics I want to cover

This blog post will focus more on topics like technical stuff in Game Dev, Making an Indie game Part time, Some Business aspects of it too and sharing resources to these topics. Also maybe learnings about marketing and selling games.

Posting Frequency

I don’t think the posting frequence will be a lot and I am not sure how to get users yet organically on this platform, probably will try the Ad network on Beehiiv (paid) to see if anyone reads or run some paid social ads.

I noticed that Beehiiv has a lot more Business and FinTech, AI & Tech newsletter so I might see if having a business angle + game dev will be a niche?

Slipspace

The name Slipspace came from the game Halo and the name of their now abandoned game engine. I am not sure if it’s copyrighted?

I wanted something Sci-fi and have the space like feeling of travelling to different worlds. Not sure how I might brand it yet.

for now I am just launching this and trying to see how far I can go with my Newsletter.

Going forward i want to share some Game Dev things and the Game project I am working on in my spare time.
