I was thinking of joining AAA gaming but seeing many layoffs happen in the last two years I felt that maybe it’s not the right time.

He talks about Netease shutting down the game studio making Marvel Rivals, he feels that the loss of talent is the loss of knowledge and just moving to cheaper location might not be the best long term. Diverse teams make a better product.

There is not enough investment post covid, since most people went out and back to work they have less time to game.

Despite the challenges I like his segment on the opportunities. Its how you see the situation.

I really enjoyed Harvey Newman insights as an animator and game dev and business entrepreneur so some of these are relevant.
