PS Showcase
This State of Play was announced quite unexpectedly, fans were expecting a showcase which could mean bigger titles, but I feel that game marketing these days tends to just do a shadow drop unless you follow those gaming Youtubers with prime hype and speculation on what is coming next.
Some Thoughts
Astro Bot this one seems to have stole the show everyone liked it based on online reactions. I do like that PS is keeping the team asobi in Japan to make this.
Concord is a risky move feels a lot like guardians of the galaxy I am not sure if it can stand out against Apex legends or Fortnite or Call of Duty.
Infinite Nikki Cute game I am surprised something like this is being show helps break the dark gritty games.
Dynasty Warriors, loved the old one and surprised to see
PSVR 2 still lives with 2 games announced Alien Rogue Incursion, Skydance Behemoth. I am not sure if its worth keeping this hardware around as these are on other VR platforms. Guess its good they are putting new software on PSVR 2.
God of War Ragnarok for PC this is inline with their strategy to move and expand to other platforms I guess due to hardware sales down meaning software sales are down.
Silent Hill 2
Monster Hunter Wilds nice another Capcom Game
Marvel Rivals whichs is basically a Hero Shooter like overwatch just reskineed with marvel characters. I felt this had more pull than concord.

Neil Druckmann took to X / Twitter to clarify his comments about future game projects and use of Generative AI in development.
Sony has deleted a controversial interview with Naughty Dog chief Neil Druckmann after The Last of Us director called it out in a social media post.
The interview included quotes attributed to Druckmann that discussed views on everything from AI to Naughty Dog’s next game, which was said could "redefine mainstream perceptions of gaming".

Since Astro Bot is getting a lot of like I found a video about the team making it. Sad that Playstation Japan is no more but the legacy may live on here.
I sense maybe on PS gamers crave the innovative and creative ideas that studio brought besides the big budget AAA live shooters.
