Sources, including Jason Schreier on BlueSky, indicate that these closures stem from leadership decisions, with some pointing to issues inherited from former management under David Haddad, while others cite current challenges.

The impact of these moves on future projects—particularly the DC Universe reboot under James Gunn—remains to be seen. This restructuring reflects a broader strategy to streamline operations and reallocate resources within WB Games.

This does not seem well with the industry I hope the affected persons can find new employment.

I feel that a Wonder Woman Game would have been interesting. But they wasted $100 Million on it. But most of the old monolith had gone to form == (part of EA) before this closure. They are currently working on a Black Panther Game.

Sometimes I wonder with them trying to compete with netflix and fortnite and movies. Who knows how much was done with that prototype.

I am not sure how James Gunn new DC universe will incorporate games for the future. Hope more creatives can be at the business side and have a say.
